WHAT'S BEHIND THE NAME?
First of all you might wonder what EL-WARRAQ means!
Well, I am not an expert but from the consultation that I’ve made, EL-WARRAQ Insya-Allah could have few meanings, among them is Bookseller or an Author. In old days where photocopy machine is still not available, a person who has a job copy reading materials is also called as El-Warraq.
Having EL-WARRAQ BOOKSHOP
Reading is like breathing to me. Since I was small, I have always surrounded by books and I grow up with that habit. When I got married and had babies, I cultivated the same passion to my children and Alhamdulillah, it seems that I am reaping what I sowed earlier. All my four children love to read. Hopefully, the habit stays with them forever. As an avid reader myself, I have collected quite a lot of books and after observing for so many years, it is sad to found out that not many Malaysians are readers! Most of us would love to eat more than to read!
Hence, with the launching of EL-WARRAQ BOOKSHOP, it is one way of sharing the collection of books that I have.
Now, you can rent books in the comfort of your home. We will send the book to your doorstep.
Having an online store (not only bookstore) is an advantage. You do not have to pay a parking fee and also the risk of buying “not-in-the list things” will be minimized. I am sure you understand what I am talking about, don’t you?

I have thought about this for quite some time already now it is timely, boleh tumpang Ery's shop :)
The idea is to promote reading habit/culture without having to spend so much money on the books.
And Alhamdulillah, for now I don't have to fork out so much money as the books are on my shelves. I pray that this will give all of us opportunity to create a community hub that is well-read, knowleadgeble and contributes back to the communities
Personally, I hope good things will breed from El-Warraq, insya-Allah.
